The shepherds fall to their knees in the lowly stable, giving praise to the newborn Christ Child, Who rests in the arms of Our Lady. White light surrounds the Virgin, Child, and cherubs, who hover in the air above Mary and Jesus. The shepherds approach from the pitch-blackness of night, entering the stable, which is bright as day with the glory of the Infant Savior.
